Oak Island Fishing Charters Backwater Red Drum

Today the group with Oak Island Fishing Charters went Trout and Drum fishing.  First thing we caught a Trout but it was to small and then it seemed like we rode around all morning looking for some fish that wanted to give us a fight.  Finally the last stop was one bite after another on Red Drum.    The Trout bite has been good all week so I have no reason why we did not catch them.  I can give you excuses but the fact is we just did not catch them.  Great day with great people, what more could you ask for.

Oak Island Fishing Charters Backwater Drum and Flounder

Oak Island Fishing Charters went to the backwater today and had a tough time.  First stop was fish after fish but the drum were under sized so we kept plugging along.  We hooked several fish that took off and broke our line but the ones that get away don’t count also had a undersized flounder.  Everyday is different you just need to enjoy yourself on the water like the group did today.

Oak Island Fishing Charters Giant Tarpon and Shark Pictures

The Big Ones that do not get away from Oak Island Fishing Charters.  I have been waiting on pictures all summer but these two fish were caught Friday and Sat.  We love catching trophy fish and these pictures are worth more than words.  Go to our Facebook Page for pictures because the pictures are to large to post here.  Oak Island Fishing Charters

Oak Island Fishing Charters Big Tarpon

Had a group charter Oak Island Fishing Charters to take his son to catch a shark for his birthday and maybe get lucky and catch a Tarpon.  Well the plan came together first fish was a 40lb blacktip shark that put on a great show.  The last fish was a 72″ x 38″ Tarpon and in less than 10 min we were taking pictures.  I will post when the charter sends them to me.

Oak Island Fishing Charters Doubled Up

First Oak Island Fishing Charters went Flounder fishing and had a very hard time till the last stop when we finally started putting some flounder in the boat.  Up until that time we were have some major tackle failure due to big Red Drum.  The second trip we went Tarpon / Shark fishing and I will have to say there are plenty of sharks.  Most of the Blacktip sharks this afternoon were around the 50lb mark.  Spanish and Shark fishing tomorrow.
